Greetings to each one within our tremendously important industry. I hope that you and your family have remained safe and healthy through these unprecedented times (at least during my lifetime). I recall my parents talking about the Great Depression of the 1930s and then World War II when literally the way you lived your life was changed by the events.  It seems we are now in a similar situation.

NAPIM Publishes Annual Industry Statistics

NAPIM has published and distributed the 2020 Annual State of the Industry Report for the membership.  The Report is published annually by the members of the NAPIM Management Information Committee and includes data collected by the NAPIM Outlook Survey, the U.S. Commerce Dept., Bureau of Labor Statistics, OSHA, National Association of Manufacturers, Printing Industries of America, Yahoo Finance, Bureau of Economic Analysis and KFF Employer Health Benefits Survey.

Mike Gettis

New Alumni Committee Formed 

NAPIM Alumni Member Mike Gettis has stepped up to chair a new Alumni Committee for members who have retired but are still interested in maintaining a connection with the association and the industry
at large.

Mike retired from “Colorcon’s No-Tox Products Division as General Manager in 2015, after being in the ink business for fifty years.  Mike served on the NAPIM board from 1999 until he retired. Mike also served as an officer for NAPIM for six years and was NAPIM President from 2007-2009.  Kathy Copeland has agreed to serve as the Alumni Information Facilitator. Watch for news on communications and activities that will be forthcoming as the committee determines strategic goals.

Most of our members have no idea how much time and deliberation is taken to plan the NAPIM Annual Spring Convention each year.  The planning typically starts about six months before the event takes place.  The first piece of planning is deciding on a theme.  In recent years, the theme and content of the business meetings have taken on a bigger and more important role in the convention.  Members want to hear important and relevant information
